Above,scrwing
the DEC axis
Now you can align your mount in DEC.
The good news is that you need two follow the same method
as the RA alignment. Of course this time you need to
adjust your scope in DEC, North and south.
Instead of the azimuth you should find at least a star
along the Eastern or Western
horizon and at 0 degrees DEC. 0°
Its' not mandatory.
After the DEC adjustment, check the RA adjustment. If
everything still ok, the job is done!
To increase the accuracy of the alignment I repeated
the job with a total duration for each axis to
250s
Keep in mind that the smaller your CCD field
of view is, the higher your mount alignment will be.
That mean if you imaging at F3.3 or 6.3, perform your
alignment at F10!
After this alignment I can imaging up to 300s
(5mn) without guiding and I took exposures up to 30mn
with guiding at F10!
