A
300s raw exposure of M101 show how my mount is off polar
axis, LX200
14" and STL11K
Since my observatory is operational and my LX200GPS 14"
is roughly polar align,
I searched the best and accurate method to make a precise
polar alignment.
I look for this subject on Internet and mostly find articles
about the drift method with an illuminated reticle eyepiece,
but for me it will be possible to do a better job with
a CCD camera.
Finally I found an interesting article about the CCD drift
method. The interesting thing here, is you don't need
to use a dedicated software plus you don't need see the
Celestial pole and Polaris.
