For serious observation, working with
C-cell batteries is not suitable for a
GO TO telescope, particularly in a cold country. The problem becomes critical when it's necessary to connect other device such as a dew heater or a CCD camera. At that time you must forget the control panel 12vDC out!

To solve these difficulties, I planed to build my home made 12vDC power supply. The challenge is double, firstly it's important to improve the power capability of the telescope, secondly it is critical to save the autonomy of the system to go back to the C-cell batteries if necessary. To reach this target I decided to apply a "soft" modification based on some solderings in parallel of the existing system.
