Meade LX200GPS series telescopes comes with two kinds of electrical system.
For the LX200GPS 14", the first one works with height C-cell batteries of 1,5 volts each, given a total of 12 volts. There are two compartments located on the right and on the left arm of the fork to house the batteries. The second one works with a 12vDC power supply. The plug located on the control panel provides a connection so that the telescope can be powered from a standard 220v AC home outlet using an optional power adapter with cable or the optional 12vDC cigarette lighter adapter.
