Motel6, Dover, NH
At the middle of 2004 is it clear I'll purchase my LX200 GPS 14" in USA.
But the question is where? To found some dealers I went to www.meade.com and start my investigation on the west coast and contact Woodland Hill Camera
by e-mail. As a good "Meade Elite dealer" it can't send me the product because Meade Instruments Corporation don't give the authorization to their dealers to ship Meade products out of USA.
To avoid this restriction I plan to pick up my telescope with UPS. After to study the solution in different ways it's become clear this solution is not the right one.
In fact, due to its size, the telescope is over the UPS or DHL package standard. That's mean the price to ship the product from the USA to France is more expensive that's the price of a round ticket from Paris to Los Angeles !
Day after day, study after study it became clear that's the better solution to purchase this telescope was to come to the USA.
The good news was unlike the California or the New York states I discovered there are some states with out sales taxes. That's mean I can again save money, around 8 to 10%. The very good news was there is a Meade Elite Dealer in this kind of state.
Forgotten California and go to the east coast in the New Hampshire.
