Like Yahoo Groups I store in other database Sky & Telescope articles and astronomical information from the web like Astronomy Now, all accessible from the same interface. This other kind of information use the same technologies as Yahoo Groups.
In fact, all html files are the capacities to be indexed. Today I have five categories of information:
- Yahoo Groups, of course
- Sky and Telescope
- Astronomy Now
- General information (come from different web sites)
- CCD imaging
Let’s talk about the result layout.
The result of a searching is displaying in the main windows. On the top left is displayed the number of match for each database. Each line of information contents:
- the rank of the result, like 1 of 74
- the searching key word highlighted displayed with is context
- the name of the file, with a link to it.
