After installing and Alt/Az aligning the LX200 with the two stars method I threaded on the rear cell of the telescope the DSI with the 30mm T-SCT adapter. After half an hour during the DSI cool down near the ambient temperature I started the "Take dark frames" procedure. Eight minutes later the procedure was finished and I was ready to imaging.

To reach a better result I selected a target near the zenith to reduce the effect of the atmosphere. Once I had chosen my target I focused my camera in the best way I could. This procedure is very difficult to achieve due to the air flow in the atmosphere. So as to help me in this critical step I used a Hartmann disk also called Focusing mask. As I often do, I set the live exposure setting about 0,5 second to focus on a star near my target.

At the beginning of the process my screen computer control showed me four points. At this time, the goal was to have one point in the screen. After two or three minutes and a bit of manual focusing, the Anvisage software showed me one point on the screen which was in fact the selected star. At that time I could take the control of the LX200 with Anvisage using the motorized focus to achievethis step. After removing the Hartman disk from the front of the telescope I selected my deep sky object with Skymap Pro to slew the LX200 on it.
